Your Needs are Changing (home office, gym, garden)
2020 was a year of big changes, and that could have affected your living situation as well. Many of us took on remote work for the first time, and that looks to be continuing well into the future. With more time spent at home, you may want to start looking at homes with an office, space for a gym, or a beautiful garden to relax in. Plus new remote-work lifestyles are broadening possibilities outside city and urban life making moves to the countryside or beach communities even more attractive.
A Change in Space
If you have a new addition coming to the family, or you’re simply bumping into people too often in the kitchen, maybe it’s time to start looking at an upgrade in size. On the other hand, if you just sent your kids to college and your empty nest is looking a little too empty, it could be time to downsize. Plus, if you’re faced with too much space, that may mean you can cash in on a smaller home at a smaller cost.
Home Values Increasing
Median home values continue to rise throughout San Diego County, and much of this is due to an increase in demand and a decrease in inventory. People want to buy. So, if your home is in a high demand location, there may be no better time to cash in on your equity. Low mortgage rates add even more incentive to consider selling and upgrading to something new.
